Sanslal Gupta, originally from Rudrapur Dineshpur, was a farmer in the past with no intention of venturing into the hotel industry. However, circumstances led them to decide to establish a hotel, prompting them to sell their land to finance the project. Despite incurring a loss, they sold one acre of land for a mere 2.5 lakh rupees. The hotel, named after Sanslal’s father, Gangaram Gupta, is currently thriving. It attracts both foreign tourists and industrial visitors, with industrial tourism being predominant. Sanslal shared their future plans with me, mentioning that they intend to open a resort in Rudrapur on a four-acre plot of land. The land is currently being used for farming, and they expect to open the resort within the next five to six months.
