The National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology (NCHMCT), an autonomous organization under the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, serves as the premier authority in hospitality education within the country. In a move to foster academic collaboration, NCHMCT has entered into an agreement with Michigan State University, USA. This Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the two institutions encompasses a range of joint initiatives in the realm of:
1.Sharing educational and research materials. 2.Facilitating exchanges of faculty and research scholars. 3.Supporting student exchange programs. 4.Undertaking joint research projects and organizing educational and research meetings. 5.Providing technical assistance to each other. 6.Developing and conducting training programs collaboratively.
The partnership with Michigan State University, a distinguished land grant university in the USA renowned for its high international rankings and over a century of esteemed legacy, marks a significant step for NCHMCT. This collaboration will empower NCHMCT to enhance its academic offerings to meet global standards, particularly aligning with the recently implemented curriculum inspired by the National Education Policy of 2020.
